The project includes 3 main work packages concerning content development:
Work package n°2 – Circular STEM Training Development:
This WP will develop a training methodology for teachers of STEM subjects in secondary schools, supported by a competence framework, based on the European Framework of Competences in Sustainability (GreenComp) and on level 4 of the European Qualification Framework.
Furthermore, this WP will develop training content that will give teachers access to lesson plans on selected circular economy challenges, which will inspire them to design their own lesson plans.
These two outcomes will train teachers on how to teach the circular economy in an interdisciplinary way, making connections with the curriculum and real-world challenges.

Work package n°4 – EU Policy Paper:
The EU Policy Paper is a document offering policy recommendations on how to integrate Circular Economy education into school curricula through STEM subjects.
What it aims to do?
🧠 Share the lessons learned from the project with European, national, and regional policymakers
📘 Highlight the role of STEM education in promoting sustainability and innovation
👩🏫 Advocate for teachers’ continuous professional development to deliver environmental education effectively
🌱 Contribute to EU frameworks like the GreenComp and the Council Recommendation on Learning for Environmental Sustainability
Key results
The Policy Paper gathers insights, stories, and concrete examples from project partners, resulting in a set of recommendations for education authorities and policymakers across Europe.
It is complemented by a high-level Policy Uptake Conference in Brussels, where the results are shared with over 100 key stakeholders from EU institutions, ministries, and education networks.
Why it matters
This output connects the classroom with EU policy — showing how STEM can drive the green transition, reduce the gender gap, and equip students with the skills needed for a sustainable future.
